Reign EP – A beat EP composed by Ty Reigns. Reign is showcase of Ty Reign’s attempts to create music for different forms of media. Plays, film, video games & TV. Reign is also essentially a representation of Cohen’s ideology that his life is like a story playing out in real time and in his story he is the true hero and protagonist. All in all Reign is this spectacle of adventure through different styles of music. The EP was indeed mix and mastered by Ty as well.

Backstory: Tyler Cohen was in a class call Advanced Audio Techniques during his time in Brooklyn College. He had two semesters of the class and in his second semester, he was asked by his professor (George Brunner) to write a hook/chorus for the class to sing, for a lesson on mic-ing Choirs. Not only did he do that, but he also produced the instrumental and performed as well. Overall the choir project was a great experience and Home is the result of that project and Reign’s vocal mixing.
Number 3 is Reigns tackle of creating two different scores for film and tv. However, he combined them and showed their contrast and resolution, showing the mixture between bright & chill and dark & ominous. Take a listen!
